Visiting Vintage Pop with Arianne and Bea today was quite interesting. We got to talk to the owner (Bong something XP) about selling his tres cool clocks online and the difficulties of promoting Marikina Shoe Expo without losing its cred as an indie/artsy fartsy neighborhood- so he says and I'm inclined to agree. Had no idea that Chunky Far Flung was closed already! I digress, it really is such a hard feat to stay within that border of selling/profiting and staying "underground" at the same time.

Should have brought a camera!

In other news, I hope Arianne has subscribed to Teen Vogue for the both of us already. Nyar, it's such a pretty magazine and THANK GOD no teenybopperfakesmiling "models."

Malajube! I'm raving this band right now. They're oh so french and oh so catchy! Download "Fille A Plume" and "La Metronome"

The Priss
Deliberate Brutal Love Dreamer (DBLDf)

Mature. Responsible. Aristocratic. Excuse me. The Priss.

Prisses are the smartest of all female types. You're highly perceptive, and confident in your judgements. You'd take brutal honesty over superficiality any time--your friends always know where they stand with you. You're completely unfake. Don't tell me that's not a word. You're also excellent at redirecting internal negative energy.

These facts indicate people are often intimidated by you. They also fall for you, hard. You have a distant, composed allure that many find irresistible. If only more of them lived up to your standards.

Your exact opposite:
The Playstation

Random Gentle Sex Master
You were probably the last among your friends to have sex. And the first to pretend that you're pregnant. LOL. Though you're inclined to use sex as weapon, at least it's not as one of mass destruction. You're choosier than most about your partners. A supportive relationship is what you're really after. Whether you know it or not, you need something steady & long-term. And soothing.

ALWAYS AVOID: The Playboy, The Loverboy

CONSIDER: The Manchild

Confession

by Jareth Valentine

Sometimes at night I think I see

the demons coming after me.

They wait until the sun goes down,

and then they start to move around.

Out from their places the demons creep,

while I slumber, sound asleep.

With a smell like something long since dead,

they slink from the closet and under the bed.

One from the sock drawer, and one from the den,

they come out, stretch and yawn, and then

they slowly start to come this way.

They slink and slither, stalk and sway.

And then, as soon as they draw near,

they crawl inside me through my ear!

Right up my nose, and down my throat,

and, once inside, they start to gloat.

They shriek and shout and rant andrave,

and pull my strings. I'm now their slave.

And so, you see, it wasn't me

who murdered all your family.

it's not my fault they wound up dead.

it was the demons in my head.

Happy Hallow's Eve!

I just saw the "Here We Go Again" video by OK Go on television. Who would have thought that dancing on a bunch of treadmills could be so cool?

And, being such a loser, I finally finished the third season of the OC yesterday. Yaaaaay!

Doggie: What do boys have that I don't?
Grandfather/Boss: Little tea spouts.

That pretty much sums up "The King Of Masks", which I had to watch today at the UP film center.Good film, I must say. It's just obviously clear that I'm not used to hearing or watching old period chinese movies anymore. XD

Must finish
1. Fil reaction paper=Friday
2. English feature article=Monday

Woozah!

Fringe Lover by debby91

Hi kids! I’m doing this paper on students living abroad and I just want to know what insights you may have on well, your experiences, etc. I also want to know where you stand on a couple of things and how this may or may not be a factor in your decision (studying abroad.)

It would really help me if you answered this so that I can make my feature article for English. Aw Aw!

Loff, Chants ><

1. Do you think that the education in the Phillipines is insufficient to your needs as a student? Please explain briefly.

2. If you answered yes to the previous question, is this a factor in you leaving the country? If not, why did you choose to continue your studies abroad anyway? Please explain briefly.

3. How do you find the environment abroad? Is there anything you like or dislike about being in another country? Is there anything that you miss back home?

4. After you finish your studies, do you have any plans of coming back or settling there for good?

How kinky.

the Observer
Test finished!
you chose BZ - your Enneagram type is FIVE.

"I need to understand the world"

Observers have a need for knowledge and are introverted, curious, analytical, and insightful.

How to Get Along with Me

  • Be independent, not clingy.
  • Speak in a straightforward and brief manner.
  • I need time alone to process my feelings and thoughts.
  • Remember that If I seem aloof, distant, or arrogant, it may be that I am feeling uncomfortable.
  • Make me feel welcome, but not too intensely, or I might doubt your sincerity.
  • If I become irritated when I have to repeat things, it may be because it was such an effort to get my thoughts out in the first place.
  • don't come on like a bulldozer.
  • Help me to avoid my pet peeves: big parties, other people's loud music, overdone emotions, and intrusions on my privacy.

What I Like About Being a Five

  • standing back and viewing life objectively
  • coming to a thorough understanding; perceiving causes and effects
  • my sense of integrity: doing what I think is right and not being influenced by social pressure
  • not being caught up in material possessions and status
  • being calm in a crisis

What's Hard About Being a Five

  • being slow to put my knowledge and insights out in the world
  • feeling bad when I act defensive or like a know-it-all
  • being pressured to be with people when I don't want to be
  • watching others with better social skills, but less intelligence or technical skill, do better professionally

Fives as Children Often

  • spend a lot of time alone reading, making collections, and so on
  • have a few special friends rather than many
  • are very bright and curious and do well in school
  • have independent minds and often question their parents and teachers
  • watch events from a detached point of view, gathering information
  • assume a poker face in order not to look afraid
  • are sensitive; avoid interpersonal conflict
  • feel intruded upon and controlled and/or ignored and neglected

Fives as Parents

  • are often kind, perceptive, and devoted
  • are sometimes authoritarian and demanding
  • may expect more intellectual achievement than is developmentally appropriate
  • may be intolerant of their children expressing strong emotions
